FAMUR is an experienced and recognized manufacturer of power hydraulics. Many years of practice in the design, production and overhauls of hydraulic legs and cylinders allow us to offer comprehensive drive systems for machines used in many industrial sectors.

We carry out both standard projects (based on proven solutions of modern technology), as well as special projects requiring an individual approach, adaptation to specific requirements and the application of innovative technological solutions.

DURACHROM coating

A real alternative to traditional protective coatings for piston rods and cores

DURACHROM is a unique anti-corrosion protection technology for cylindrical surfaces of piston rods and cores of hydraulic cylinders and hydraulic supports. It constitutes an effective and durable alternative to conventional galvanic coatings.

Effective corrosion protection

The DURACHROM coating is distinguished by:

higher resistance to corrosive factors compared to traditional coatings,
durability in demanding operating conditions,
environmental safety of the production process – the materials and technology used do not pose a threat to the natural environment.

DURACHROM technology effectively replaces standard galvanic coatings such as chrome, nickel or nickel-chrome coatings.

Application in new and regenerated components

The coating may be applied both to:

new piston rods and cores,
components to be regenerated.

One of the key advantages of DURACHROM technology is the possibility of restoring the nominal dimensions of regenerated piston rods and cores, which extends their life cycle and reduces replacement costs.

How does the technology work?

The protective coating consists of a relatively thick layer of stainless steel in the form of a rolled sheet (coil), applied onto a previously prepared cylindrical surface of a piston rod or core.

After application, the layer is permanently bonded to the substrate using a welding method, ensuring high mechanical strength and operational resistance.

Proven and award-winning technology

DURACHROM is a relatively new technology that has received numerous awards, including the Gold Medal at the Brussels Invention Fair.

To date, more than 280,000 DURACHROM coatings have been applied to piston rods and cores of hydraulic cylinders.

Seals

FAMUR has many years of experience in the design and manufacture of technical seals, meeting the highest quality standards. We offer solutions covering a wide dimensional range – from standard small-size seals to designs adapted to the dimensional standards of other manufacturers.

An economical and frequently selected solution is oversized and undersized seals, which significantly reduce cylinder overhaul costs without the need to replace entire subassemblies.

Production is carried out on injection moulding machines from renowned manufacturers, using high-quality plastics, ensuring repeatability of parameters and product durability.
Complete sealing assemblies
We offer complete solutions for pistons and gland bushings, including sealing rings, wiper rings, guide rings and other cooperating elements.
Wide range of applications
Our seals can be used in cylinders with nominal diameters from 20 mm to over 400 mm while maintaining compact cross-section dimensions.
