The PRE_COP24 conference under the heading "Polish Way to Clean Environment" took place from 9-11 August 2018 at the International Congress Center in Katowice. The event aimed to develop a common Polish position on climate policy before the COP24 climate summit to be held in December 2018. An important point of the conference was signing an agreement under the Mining OK Project (Górnictwo OK) FAMUR SA was a party to.
FAMUR Group, the leading provider of solutions for the mining industry in Europe, and JSW SA, the biggest producer of coking coal in the European Union, signed a framework agreement on cooperation in the development of innovative solutions to increase the efficiency of production and work safety in hard coal mines. The cooperation agreement was concluded on 19 July 2018 during the conference entitled 'Presentation of the KWK Krupiński Revitalisation Programme' in the Sheraton Hotel in Warsaw.
Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa is going to buy a 95.01% block of shares in Przedsiębiorstwo Budowy Szybów SA from the Kopex Group. The document (Term-Sheet), including the basic conditions of the transaction, was signed on 17 July 2018 by the representatives of JSW SA as well as Kopex SA and PBSz 1 Sp. z o.o. The transaction value was estimated at PLN 205.3 million.
