Powered roof supports
FAMUR is an experienced and recognized manufacturer of powered supports, gathering brands such as FAZOS, GLINIK and TAGOR. We offer a wide range of line (face), transition, end and gate roof supports. Our powered roof supports are adapted to work in all longwall mining technologies used in modern mining industry (not only coal mining) and in various mining and geological conditions.
The powered roof support units (shields) meet the relevant safety requirements as well as the detailed criteria of European and global mining standards and regulations. The FAMUR powered roof support units (shields) are designed taking into account the individual requirements of each customer, using the most modern tools of 3D prototype modeling and FEM strength analysis. The design correctness is confirmed each time by appropriate durability tests in accredited laboratories and evidenced by an appropriate certificate.

- operation range of 0,6 to 6,0 m
- two- or four-leg configuration, with one-, two- or three-telescopic legs
- support resistance up to 1,5 MN/m² (150 t/m²)
- roof support units’ operation system “without one web beck” or “with one web back”
- equipping with rigid, extendible or inclinable&extendible canopies adapted to the mining and geological conditions of exploitation
- uniform (catamaran-type) of divided bases applied
- suitable for operations at strikes of up to 45° and dips of up to 20°
- electrohydraulic control system with full pressure monitoring with longwall automation functions or remote control system with a wireless system for pressure monitoring in legs
- made of highest strength steel, protected against corrosion using the latest available technologies (in particular it refers to coatings used in power hydraulics: weld clad stainless steel coatings, Durachrom or other types)
