Belt feeder PT-800

The belt feeder PT-800 is designed for haulage of minerals from the place of operation of a mining machine. It is designed to work in underground road headings of mining plants Group I, category M2. It meets the requirements of Directive 2014/34/EU of the European Parliament and the Council relating to equipment and protective systems intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres and Directive 2006/42/EC of the European Parliament and the Council on essential requirements for machinery and safety components.

The belt feeder PT-800 has a modular design. The basic elements are:

  • drive and discharge pan,
  • route pan
  • drive and tensioning pan
  • return pan
  •  modular design for fast feeder assembly/disassembly (replacement of assemblies and sub-assemblies)
  • fast adaptation of the underslung version to the floor one and the other way round
  • a large number of additional units and subassemblies allowing for any feeder configuration

Specifications can be changed depending on customer requirements.

Depending on the arrangement of the feeder a few basic configurations are distinguished, which can be operated independently or in combination with each other.

  • Configuration 1.
    The short version of the belt feeder which can be built with 2m or 3m long route pans, depending on the required total length of the feeder. From the turning station the feeder is connected with the mining machine and underslung from the discharge side by a carrying trolley on the suspended monorails route.
  • Configuration 2.
    The long version of the feeder, from the turning station the feeder is connected with the mining machine and the entire feeder rout is underslung by carrying trolleys on the suspended monorails route. This ensures free movement of the feeder as the mining machine advances.
  • Configuration 3.
    A combination of two feeders – a short one, connected from the turning station with the mining machine and a long feeder underslung by carrying trolleys on the suspended monorails route. Feeders are connected with a special connector for easy horizontal and vertical movement of the feeder. Additionally, where the feeder unit is connected there are trunnion side surfaces to directed the hauled winning.
  • Configuration 4.
    A combination of two feeders – a short one, connected from the turning station with the mining machine and underslung by carrying trolleys on the suspended monorails route. On the other hand, the long feeder interoperating with the short feeder is a stand-alone piece of haulage equipment fixed to the floor by means of a anchoring and locking assembly mounted to a reverse feeder pan.
  • Configuration 5.
    This feeder is a stand-alone haulage unit with a part of the route and a drive-discharge pan underslung by carrying trolleys on the suspended monorail route. The other feeder pans are mounted onto the floor by sliding skid. To move the feeder of this configuration a spragging, sliding system should be used, mounted to the return pan.
