KTW-150

The KTW-150 roadheader is designed for driving galleries in coal mines endangered by methane and/or coal dust explosion. It can be also used for tunneling. Dimensions of the ŁP arch support in the galleries range from 8 to 12, in accordance with the Polish Standard No. PN-93/G 15000/02.

Total power installed 272 kW
Power installed on cutting head 150 kW
Rock compressive strength 100 MPa
Cutting height 4.48 m
Cutting width 6.05 m
Transverse inclination angle of a gallery ± 5 º
Longitudinal inclination angle of a gallery ± 18 º
Compressive stress on the floor 0.13 MPa
Supply voltage 1000 V
Weight 48 t

THE KTW-150 MAY BE CONTROLLED:

  • from the control panel in the operator’s cab
  • from the portable control panel (remote control, up to 15m away from the roadheader)
  • from a separate control panel, located in the distance of about 50m behind the roadheader, in the environment particularly endangered by methane or mine water (optional)

THE ROADHEADER MAY BE EQUIPPED WITH FOUR TYPES OF SPRAY SYSTEMS TO ENSURE EFFECTIVE SPARK EXTINGUISHING AND DUST REDUCTION:

  • internal sector spraying, directly from the bit blocks of the cutting drums
  • external injector spraying, from the frame behind the cutting drum
  • external water and air spraying system, from the frame behind the cutting drum
  • internal sector spraying combined with external water and air spraying from the frame used in cutting the rock mass with potential sparking occurrence and in coal seams with high methane content

THE SHEARER MEETS THE FOLLOWING DIRECTIVES AND STANDARDS:

  • directive ATEX
  • directive EMC
  • UE machinery directive
