Under the contract with the Russian company OOO „MMK - UGOL”, FAMUR SA has provided a longwall system for the "Chertinskaya-Koksovaya" mine. The contract value amounts to EUR 17,500,000.
The contract with OOO „MMK – UGOL” provides for that Famur shall supply powered roof supports, a roadheader, a face conveyor and a beam stage loader with a crusher as well as additional equipment to the customer in Russia. The mechanized system for longwall coal mining was already delivered to Russia in July this year. It is planned to start the mining process already in August.

The “Chertinskaya-Koksovaya” mine is located in the town of Belovo, Kemerovo Oblast, and together with the “Kostromovskaya Mine” it belongs to OOO „MMK – UGOL”. In the past year the mines associated with the company produced approx. 3.4 million tons of coal and 2.8 million tons of coal concentrate.
