GearoX 2.0 – The First Polish Gearbox for Wind Turbines
In 2024, FAMUR Gearo manufactured GearoX 2.0 – the first Polish main gearbox for wind turbines with a nominal power of up to 2 MW. This is a modern and versatile solution, compatible with wind turbines produced by Vestas and Siemens Gamesa.
Modern Design
GearoX 2.0 features a classic split housing design for the cylindrical section, allowing for a wide range of up-tower maintenance operations without the need to dismantle the entire gearbox.
It is equipped with a mechanical oil pump integrated into the HSS shaft axis and is prepared for the installation of an external electric pump. Additionally, it can be fitted with a precision bypass filtration system, vibration diagnostics systems, and advanced CMS-class monitoring systems.
The gearbox was designed in accordance with the IEC 61400-4 standard, ensuring the highest levels of quality and reliability.
