Environment

In our business activity we take into account the current and future consequences of environmental impacts resulting from the manufacturing processes in use at Famur’s manufacturing facilities. As part of the implemented and certified ISO 14001 Management System we strive to minimise significant environmental impacts. In this regard, goals and targets set by the Management Board of FAMUR SA are implemented. Environmental Policy. These tasks are aimed at improving waste management, the use of environmentally friendly technologies, increasing the environmental awareness of employees and a reasonable use of utilities.

The FAMUR Group reports non-financial indicators based on the Global Reporting Initiative Standards (GRI Standards) – Core option and the guidelines and good market practices for integrated reporting.

Employee

We are aware that the success of a company depends primarily on its employees. That is why their competences and skills are so important to us. The FAMUR Group employs about 2500 people by striving to make it possible for them to develop professionally and building a community based on values. See the 5 key values of the FAMUR Group.

OHS

The high level of occupational safety is particularly important to the FAMUR Group. We implement it by providing appropriate working conditions and raising awareness in the area of occupational health and safety. For more information please refer to the Integrated Management System Policy.

Internal communication

Good communication within the company is the basis for its smooth functioning and completion of business tasks. We ensure that it is based on dialogue. Examples of such activities include implementation of communication boxes, through which employees can submit their ideas and comments, as well as  publishing the “FAMA” internal quarterly newsletter, co-created by people employed at various levels of our company. A crucial point of internal communication is also the regular sending of information newsletters as a summary of important events of the Company and its business environment. During the pandemic, we have been creating special newsletter editions with the most important information and regulations regarding COVID-19, to be sent be email and received by each employee

Social environment

We are both one of the largest employers in Poland and also a partner for local communities, especially where our our facilities are located. We want our company’s success to translate into the development of its environment.

Local communities

The FAMUR Group strives to have a positive impact on the lives of local communities. The best example of the FAMUR Group’s activities for local communities is our participation in campaigns and projects, such as the Activity Mine, thw Factory of Social and Civil Competences, the Miles of Good, painting a children’s hospital or Christmas fundraising for charity organizations.

Cooperation with schools and universities

We are a company with a long tradition of employing successive generations of employees. That is why it is so important for us to have good relations with technical professional and vocational schools and universities, which educate our potential future specialists. We strive to influence their development by offering the opportunity to gain work experience through traineeships at the FAMUR Group. We also participate in educational fairs and industrial conferences, presenting activities of our company, as well as we support our own patronal classes.

TDJ Foundation

The idea of the TDJ Foundation is to support the children of employees of the TDJ Group, the latter related to FAMUR SA It invests primarily in education to create the best opportunities for development for future generations. For more information see TDJ Foundation website

Corporate governance
Good practices of companies listed on the WSE

Corporate Governance is a set of rules addressed both to companies’ governing bodies and key managers as well as majority and minority stakeholders. These principles relate to broadly defined management of the companies. The main objectives of “Good Practices of Companies Listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange” are:  strengthening the companies transparency, improvement of the quality of company-to-investor communication,  strengthening the shareholders’ protection  inclusive of matters not covered by other legal regulations. Nonetheless, the rules are intended not to create burdens for the listed companies, which are not balanced with the market benefits.

We encourage you to be familiar with the corporate governance rules applied by FAMUR SA and to read the document “Best Practice for Warsaw Stock Exchange Listed Companies”..

The company published statements in accordance with the requirements of the above ordinance.  Said statements constitute a part of the Management Board’s Report on the Company’s activities and of the Management Board’s Report on the Capital Group’s activities, which are available on  [Investor Relations section  > Reports > Annual Reports].
